Puja Gurudev, Swami Chinmayananda, was an enlightened master and a visionary. As part of His vision, Gurudev saw the need for a higher learning institution that integrated Indian knowledge systems with modern technology and educational approaches. In 2016, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) – the Chinmaya University, the crown jewel of Chinmaya Mission, was born. CVV is working to create values, share the vision of the Rsis, sculpt new leaders with knowledge of Indian heritage to selflessly serve society. This is the need of the hour. To support CVV, we will be joining the Mission’s global crowdfunding campaign. The Mission family will serve as Chinmaya Ambassadors and reach out to friends, colleagues, family members to help build awareness and raise funds for CVV. To learn more about the initiative, please see Pujya Swamiji, Swami Swaroopanandaji’s video.
We can, we must bring Gurudev’s vision to reality. Further details to follow.
On the blessed occasion of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s 28th Mahasamadhi day, Pujya Swami Swaroopananda released a wonderful new Chinmaya Archives module titled ‘Guru Bhais’. The link to the release is: https://youtu.be/m1oxDFT-snE When young Balakrishnan Menon joined Sivananda Ashram in Rishikesh, he forged some strong bonds, made some long-lasting friends… Guru Bhais so to call them. One of his Guru Bhais is known by the world as Pujya Swami Chidananda Maharaj of Divine Life Society. Theirs was a divine connection; they were more like spiritual brothers, both disciples of Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Sivananda Maharaj.
